Charlotte, North Carolina, Charlotte Latin School is seeking an experienced Upper School Spanish teacher to fulfill a long-term substitute position. This position is expected to begin in September 2025 and end in January 2026.  This position is ideal for motivated teachers with a knowledge of ACTFL standards and a particular passion for teaching Upper School students. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach 4 class sections (Levels 1-4). Collaborate with colleagues on lesson plans, grading, and assessment practices. Assess students’ academic performance, including regular grading through assigning and grading regular homework assignments, formative assessments, and summative assessments. Provide 1:1 support to students during office hours, before and after school. Engage with colleagues to maintain Latin’s strong culture of collegiality. Supervisory Responsibilities None Education and Experience Experience teaching Spanish is required. A bachelor’s degree in Spanish or a related World Language is required; a Master’s is preferred An understanding of ACTFL proficiency standards and how they apply to language acquisition.
