QUALIFICATIONS
Must haves
3+ years experience as a data analyst, DBA, BI Engineer or Data engineer, and preferably experience managing direct reports
3 to 5+ years experience in writing production-ready SQL
3+ yrs Developing in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other
3+ yrs Data Transformation Tools, ADF, dBT, SSIS, etc
3+ yrs Python based tools
Experience working with AWS, Azure, & Snowflake cloud ecosystems
High proficiency in data extraction manipulation and analysis in SQL
Need to be eligible to work in USA
Other qualifications
Exceptional ability to identify anomalies and patterns in business data
Strong understanding of relational database principals
Experience in working with or designing workflow systems such as CRM’s, ERP’s, marketing stacks
Ability to work across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, extracting information, data wrangling and identifying linkages across disparate data sets
Commercial client-facing project experience is helpful, including working in close-knit teams
Proven ability to clearly communicate complex solutions
Extraordinary attention to detailed requirements
WHAT YOU’LL DO Beacon Data is seeking a talented, Business Intelligence Analyst/ Engineer to join our data team and help us solve complex and interesting problems for our diverse clients. During your initial project, you and your engagement team will assist with building a new data reporting and data orchestration system for several clients.
Your team will:
Analyze the data flowing through the existing ERP, CRM and other workflow systems
Structure and redesign the data flows with the aim of maintaining single source of truth for all master data and consistent reporting
Set up and maintain the appropriate data infrastructure to support the above plan on an AWS environment (ex: Redshift, EC2, ELT tools, data wrangling tools, etc.)
Acquire, ingest, and process data from multiple sources and systems into a data warehouse
Collaborate with business teams to map data fields to hypotheses and curate, wrangle, and prepare data for use in reporting and BI
Maintain the highest security standards across the entire data eco system
Implement and maintain BI & reporting tools
Provide business insights using consolidated data
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH Beacon’s Senior Data Architect will provide strategic oversight and an experienced Senior Project Lead will provide day-to-day leadership and direction. Beacon’s project team will also work and collaborate closely with this fast-growing client’s internal data analyst, data engineer, and IT department following an agile scrum project delivery method. This is not a “go-to-your-cubicle” role, but rather a dynamic environment with active cross-team communication and collaborative problem solving focused on building tools for improving company-wide effectiveness with data. Once foundational projects are complete, Beacon and the client will be able to execute many other strategic projects and analyses once foundational data systems and single source of truth is in place.
